Jerry Wilson Grider, age 79, of Warren, AR passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at home. He was born on October 12, 1944 in Vick, AR to the late Jessie Wilson Grider and Rita Stanfield Grider. He was a millwright, a member of the Carpenters Local #576 and a graduate of Warren High School, he was owner and operator of Grider’s fish market and a member and deacon of Christian Fellowship Church.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Darelyn Hammon Grider whom he married on January 18, 1964 and she passed away on August 28, 2013; a granddaughter, Amber Michelle Wilson and brothers, Charles Grider, Mack Grider, Buddy Grider and a sister Mildred Grider Ferrell.
Survivors include his daughters, Angela Michelle Grider Wilson of Warren, AR and Amanda Darlene Grider Pierce of Warren, AR; grandchildren, Chance Lynn Wilson and spouse Venessa and Michael Austin Pierce; great-grandchildren, Izabella Maelynn Wilson and Marco Damian Wilson-Reyes.
Graveside service was 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Oakland Cemetery with Bro. Wayman Mann officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Memorials can be sent in lieu of flowers to Christian Fellowship Church, PO Box 805 Warren, AR 71671.
