Ada Castleberry Berry, age 84, of Cabot, AR received her Angel wings on March 17, 2024. She was born on November 7, 1939 to the late Clyde Castleberry and Mae (Wright) Castleberry. Also preceding her in death are her husband, Grady Berry, a brother Glenn Castleberry, and a sister Joyce Cowden.
Ada worked at several Deaf schools in Colorado and Florida before retiring from the Arkansas School for the Deaf in Little Rock. She also worked for the US Postal Service in Little Rock for 20 years.
Ada is survived by her daughter April Berry of Cabot. Two brothers Jerry Castleberry of Warren, AR, and Clyde (Isabelle) Castleberry of Addis, LA. Three sisters Elaine and Evelyn Castleberry of Baton Rouge, LA, and Gail (Randy) Carline of Bayou Pigeon, LA. And a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services were held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Hickory Springs Cemetery with Bob Slagley officiating. Burial was in Hickory Springs Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Gary Wade, Tommy Varner, Rick Porter, Matthew Rothmeyer, Richard Hoots, and Chris Jewitt. A memorial will be held at a later date in Little Rock, AR.
