Jimmy ‘Cool Rock’ Rainey, 73, of Warren, passed away March 3, 2024. Born January 5, 1951, to Russell and Christine Rainey. Jimmy embraced his faith in Christ at a young age and became a member
of the Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Pastor Cook.
Jimmy loved to dance, listen to music and do his daily walk. He also loved being with family and friends. His presence touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Christine Rainey, siblings, James Russell Rainey and Angela Faye Thompson.
Jimmy is survived by his siblings, Eddie Rainey, Charles Rainey (Betty), Dewayne Leonard (Betty), Dwight Leonard, Michael McKnight (Bozena), Patricia Thomas, Berlene Brown, Mereline Richard, Carolyn
O’Neal; uncle, J C Mitchell, aunts, Bessie Marks, Sadie Relford; special nephew, Shannon Leonard; a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held March 16. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
