Patricia Ann Beaird Hendrix passed away on May 31st, 2024 after a stroke. She was born on October 31, 1948, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to the late Guy and Nida Beaird.
She was educated in the Trumann Public Schools and graduated in 1966, going on to University of Arkansas at Monticello for further education. She and Dennis and their girls moved to Warren, where they lived from 1972 – 1987. Patricia was part owner of a court reporting business in Warren, then started Hendrix Reporting Service in 1985, from which she retired in 2023. She received her Certified Verbatim Reporter and Certificate of Merit from NVRA, the national court reporter association. She was honored as the Arkansas Court Reporter of the Year in 2014 by the Arkansas Court Reporters Association and by the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission for her 36 years of service. She served as a PEO in Chapters CK and AF in Arkansas and was a past state president of Arkansas State Chapter. PEO was very near and dear to her heart and she helped create a book scholarship for women.
She loved gardening and all flowers, but especially roses, traveling to France, reading, spending time with her family, everything Halloween and participating in Ladies of the Club.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dennis Edwin Hendrix, and her daughters: Kelli and husband Bart Trickey of Conway and Heather Starnes of Little Rock and her former husband Dr. Ken Starnes of Portland, Oregon; grandchildren Ryan and KayLee Trickey of Elkins, Arkansas; Jacob Trickey and Lauren Havniear of Maumelle; Kevin Trickey of North Little Rock; Tyler Trickey of Fayetteville, Sarah Starnes and Ken Starnes IV of Little Rock, and great grandson Colin Trickey of Elkins along with numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 1 p.m. at Griffin Leggett. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society.
