James Ray Weeks, age 77, of New Edinburg, AR died Friday, July 5, 2024. Born August 17, 1946 in New Edinburg, AR. He was the son of the late Margaret A. Brandon Weeks and Grady Weeks. He was a retired welder. He was a widower of the late Beverly Lynn Thompson Weeks, who died July 30, 2008. They were united in marriage August 8, 1969. James was a member of Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sisters, Betty Newton, Cornerville, AR, Patsy Lisemby, New Edinburg, AR. Three sons, Jamie Weeks, Blytheville, AR, Mark and Kristin Weeks, New Edinburg, AR and Terry Weeks Blytheville, AR. Six grandchildren, Hannah and Austin Estes of New Edinburg, AR, Aaron Weeks, Blytheville, AR, Emma Weeks, Gosnell, AR, Jameson and Cassie Weeks, Warren, AR, Brandon Weeks, Blytheville, AR, Jewell Weeks, Scottsville, KY. Three great grandchildren, Truett Estes, Beverly Estes, and Sophia Weeks.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Buddy Weeks, Marvin Weeks, Billy Weeks and Roy Weeks and sisters, Dorothy Calhoun and Margie Free.
Memorial service was 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Frazer’s Chapel. Arrangements by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
