Gregory Scott Grice, 1961-2024

Gregory Scott Grice was born October 31, 1961 to the late Junior Elton “Pete” Grice and Willie Merel Gavin Grice in Warren, Arkansas. Scott passed from this life on September 3, 2024 at a tender 62 years of age. He lived a life devoted to Christ. Upon graduating from Warren High School with the class of 1980, Scott started his career at Potlatch Deltic in Warren. Most recently he held the title of Shipping Coordinator for the business. Scott was employed at Potlatch for 43 years and 8 months. He valued hard work and took pride in doing his work well. In early 2016 Scott met Lori and the two immediately hit it off. The two were wed on January 28, 2017. The two shared a deep love for Christ, their family, and, of course, the Hogs. During their seven years of marriage, Scott and Lori enjoyed traveling and trying out new restaurants. Scott was an avid sports fan. On Friday nights, you could find him rooting for the Warren Lumberjacks and Saturdays were spent calling the Hogs. Scott was a time clock operator for the Warren Lumberjack football team for 42 years. He was a wealth of information about all things football and basketball. He loved talking sports to anyone who might listen. He and his wife, Lori, visited many SEC sports complexes together throughout their marriage.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Lori. He leaves behind 4 children: Derek Grice, Katelyn Grice, Alicia (Coy) Boyd, and Matthew (Haeleigh) Sparks. As well as, several grandchildren that he loved fiercely: Ella Boyd, Addison Boyd, Charlie Sumner, Everleigh Boyd, and Easton Sparks. Scott was a devoted husband, father, son, PapPaw, IScott, cousin, uncle, and friend to many. He was welcomed in heaven by many loved ones that have gone on before him. His family is taking comfort in knowing that he is now in the arms of our Lord. 

His celebration of life was on Friday, September 6th at 10 am at Calvary Baptist Church in Warren, Arkansas with burial at Hope Cemetery in Perryville, Arkansas. Arrangements by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Bro. Rocky Goodwin and Bro. Reuel Cruce officiated the services. Scott’s pallbearers were Roger Hairston, Jeff Adams, Matthew Sparks, Coy Boyd, William Sumner, and Jamie Rochell. Honorary pallbearers were James Kitchens, Odelle Wolfe, Mark Hairston, Nathan Hairston, and Mike Miller. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations are made to the Warren Athletic Booster Club or Gideon’s International.
