HAMPTON, Ark. – Former Hampton High School band members are being invited to dust off their instruments and join the current Hampton High School band in a special performance during the school’s upcoming Homecoming festivities. The school is encouraging alumni who played in the band to participate in the Homecoming game celebration on September 20, 2024.
Those interested in participating are asked to contact Mr. Williams at dwilliams@hampton.k12.ar.us to let him know what instrument they play. Participants should also indicate whether they can bring their own instruments or will need to borrow one from the school. The band has a limited number of instruments available for alumni use but will make every effort to accommodate as many people as possible.
Alumni musicians will gather at the Hampton High School band room at 5:00 PM on September 20 to review music, practice, and reconnect with the current band. The current band members will join at 5:30 PM for a combined rehearsal, after which the group will head to the field at 6:00 PM or earlier, depending on the start of the Homecoming festivities.
Hampton High School hopes for strong participation from alumni and encourages them to consider joining for future home games as well.
