MONTICELLO, Ark. – 9-9-24 – The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) Division of Music has announced its performance schedule for the fall semester, offering a variety of concerts and recitals to highlight the talents of its bands and choirs.
The UAM “Pride of Southeast Arkansas” Boll Weevil Marching Band will be performing at several home football games this season, with performances scheduled for September 5, September 19, October 12 (Homecoming), October 19, November 2, and November 16.
For jazz enthusiasts, UAM will host Jazz Night on October 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the UAM Fine Arts Center. The event will feature UAM Jazz One and UAM Jazz Band II.
Additional notable performances include:
- UAM Music Theatre Workshop Recital on November 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the UAM Fine Arts Center
- Percussion Night on November 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the UAM Fine Arts Center
- Woodwind Ensembles Recital on November 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Harris Recital Hall, Music Building
The SEARK Event, “How Sweet the Sound,” will be a collaborative performance between the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and the UAM Concert and Chamber Choirs. This event is set for November 17 in the UAM Fine Arts Center, with the time to be announced at a later date.
Rounding out the fall performances are:
- UAM Concert and Chamber Choir Concert on November 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the UAM Fine Arts Center
- Weevil Wonderland Holiday Concert, featuring the UAM Concert Band and UAM Jazz One, on December 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the UAM Fine Arts Center
