38th Annual Buck Fever Festival Set for November 2-10, 2024, Full Schedule Released

Banks, Ark. – 10-7-24 – The small Bradley County town of Banks is gearing up for one of its most beloved traditions, the 38th Annual Buck Fever Festival, running from November 2 through November 10, 2024. This event is expected to attract hunters, families, and festival-goers from across the region with its exciting lineup of competitions, entertainment, and local food.

The festival kicks off on Saturday, November 2, at 4:00 PM with a Chili Cook-off, offering a $100 prize for the best chili in town. At 6:00 PM, attendees can compete in the Baggo Tournament at City Park for a chance to win $500. Hunters can also check in their biggest youth buck or doe at Main Street for a chance at $250 or $100, respectively.

Live music will set the tone for the evening, with the band Break The Dawn taking the stage at 6:30 PM.

Main Festival Weekend
The main events take place the following weekend, with Saturday, November 9, packed full of activities for all ages. Children can enjoy a range of fun attractions at the Children’s Corner from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, featuring build-a-bear, jump houses, and a chance to meet Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Smokey the Bear.

For those with furry friends, the Cutest Dog Show will take place at 11:00 AM in the tent, with a $100 prize up for grabs. Vendors will be open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, selling everything from custom shirts and baked goods to home décor and bath bombs.

The annual Parade begins at 12:00 noon, with a lineup featuring local schools, organizations, and businesses competing for various awards, including Best Overall Entry and Best Decorated Bicycle.

In the evening, the Talent Show kicks off at 2:00 PM, with contestants competing for a $250 prize. The highly anticipated Antler Idol event follows, offering $1,000 to the top contestant. The day wraps up with the Judging of the Biggest Buck and Doe from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and an Awards Ceremony recognizing winners in various categories.

Final Day and Closing
The festival concludes on Sunday, November 10, with Camo Sunday at 12:30 PM. Attendees are invited to a Free Lunch featuring chili and soup, followed by a Praise & Worship service at 1:00 PM. The festival’s final message will be delivered by Todd West, with attendees encouraged to wear their favorite camo attire.

With a full schedule of activities, competitions, and entertainment, the 38th Annual Buck Fever Festival promises to be a fun-filled week celebrating the community’s hunting heritage and local spirit.
