38th Annual Buck Fever Festival Brings Festive Fun to Banks

BANKS, Ark. – The 38th annual Buck Fever Festival took place this past weekend in Banks, drawing crowds from the region for a memorable lineup of events, contests, and entertainment.

Ja’kobi Ingram and Addyson Spearman were crowned Parade King and Queen, while Mary McClain was named Parade Princess, bringing regal charm to Saturday’s noon parade. Following the parade, a fish lunch brought the community together to enjoy a classic Southern meal.

The festival’s popular Dog Contest saw Harley White’s dog, Buddy, awarded as the Cutest Dog, while April White’s dog, Mister, was crowned Best Dressed. Harley Davis and dog Aiden stole the show, winning Overall and Best Trick.

The talent contest, known as Atler Idol, showcased local talent, with Hayden Ford claiming first place and a $1,000 prize for his performance.

In addition to the competitions, Carolina Cotton performed in the main tent Saturday, providing live entertainment for festival-goers. Downtown Banks was bustling with food and craft vendors, a kid zone, cake walk, and live music, making it a festive weekend for all.

Organizers are already setting sights on next year’s 39th Buck Fever Festival, aiming to build on this year’s success and continue the tradition of community celebration.
