RISON, Ark. – The Warren Lady Jacks put on a spirited performance Monday night in Rison, narrowly falling to the Lady Cats in a nail-biting 54-53 contest after a remarkable comeback.

The game opened with a defensive highlight as Bayleigh Miller delivered a big block on Rison’s first possession. Despite Warren’s strong start on defense, Rison quickly found their rhythm, draining shots early while the Lady Jacks struggled to convert their opportunities. Rison led 16-5 after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, turnovers plagued Warren, but Miller kept her team in contention by knocking down four three-pointers. Aaliyah Walton also connected from beyond the arc, helping the Lady Jacks keep pace. Rison maintained control, leading 28-20 at the half.

The third quarter saw contributions from Charlee Wardlaw and Breize Fellows, who added six points from the field. The Lady Jacks closed the gap to five points, with Rison holding a 41-36 advantage heading into the final period.

The fourth quarter was a battle. Warren surged to take a brief lead with under two minutes to play, displaying the resilience and determination fostered under first-year head coach Beth Grant. However, Rison hit a crucial free throw with 1.7 seconds remaining to seal the one-point victory.
