Lady Jacks Fall Short in Thriller Against Star City Lady Bulldogs

Bayleigh Miller scored a team-high 27 points vs. Star City Tuesday.

WARREN, Ark. – The Warren Lady Jacks narrowly lost a heartbreaker to the Star City Lady Bulldogs Tuesday night at Lumberjack Arena, falling 53-52 in a highly competitive game.

Warren started strong, jumping out to a 6-0 lead in the opening minutes. Sophomore Bayleigh Miller dominated early, scoring 13 points in the first quarter. However, Star City fought back to take a slim 16-15 lead at the end of the opening period.

The second quarter proved challenging for Warren as their offense struggled to find rhythm, managing just two field goals. Star City capitalized on the Lady Jacks’ scoring drought, extending their lead to 35-21 at halftime.

Warren turned up the defensive intensity in the third quarter, outscoring the Lady Bulldogs and narrowing the deficit to 45-35 heading into the final frame.

In the fourth quarter, the Lady Jacks surged, fueled by Miller’s outstanding performance and key contributions from teammates. Despite their valiant effort, Warren fell just short, with the game ending 53-52 in favor of Star City.
