The Rotary Club of Warren met Tuesday, Feb. 11 for its meeting at First Methodist Church. The club held a brief discussion about fundraisers for the Imagination Library, the Rotary Club of Warren’s main project. The Imagination Library is seeking donations from the community currently so please get in touch with a Rotarian if you’d like to donate. The meeting transitioned to hearing from Warren High School Junior Rotarians Angie Mondragon and Aaryuna Farmer.
The program for the day came from WHS head baseball coach Jared Dutton, who was the program of Rotarian Dennen Cuthbertson. Coach Dutton recapped last season’s team, which went to the 4A State Quarterfinals with a win over Morrilton. Last year’s team only lost one senior and this season he has 23 players on the roster. He named off six seniors, five who have been with him during all three years of his tenure, and he gave an overview of the team’s schedule. He thinks this year’s schedule will give his team a chance to be peaking during May. The team is scheduled to open the season with a Benefit Game at home against Rison on Feb. 25.
