WARREN, Ark. – The Warren Lady Jack softball team opened their season in dominant fashion with a commanding 14-0 victory over the Camden Fairview Lady Cardinals on Thursday evening, March 6.

Camden Fairview started the game with a leadoff walk, but the Lady Jacks’ defense quickly responded. Ember Johnson and Livi McKinney turned a smooth 6-3 double play, followed by a pop fly caught by Breize Fellows to end the top of the first inning.
Warren wasted no time capitalizing on offense. Haven Johnson led off the bottom of the first with a triple. Ember Johnson drew a walk, and Charlee Wardlaw was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Haven Johnson crossed home plate when Bayleigh Miller walked, and Ember Johnson scored on a passed ball, giving Warren an early 2-0 lead.
An infield single by Breize Fellows brought in Allyssa Calbert, who was running in place of catcher Charlee Wardlaw. Miller then scored on a throwing error. Later in the inning, Haven Johnson smacked a two-out, two-run double. Ember Johnson followed with an infield single that plated two more runs, and a Wardlaw RBI single scored Johnson. By the end of the explosive first inning, the Lady Jacks held a commanding 9-0 lead.
Warren’s defense continued to shine, keeping Camden Fairview off the scoreboard in the top of the second inning.
Raeleigh Milton singled with two outs in the bottom of the second, but Warren was unable to bring her around to score. The score remained 9-0 heading into the third.
A solid defensive effort by the Lady Jacks once again held Camden Fairview scoreless in the top of the third.
With two outs in the bottom of the third, Ember Johnson singled, and Charlee Wardlaw followed with an RBI double to bring her home. Miller then singled, scoring Wardlaw to extend Warren’s lead to 11-0 after three innings.

Camden Fairview remained unable to generate any offense in the fourth inning, as Warren’s defense continued to stifle their efforts.
In the bottom of the fourth, Breize Fellows led off with a single, followed by an infield hit from Raeleigh Milton. Fellows later scored on a sacrifice by Blythe Calloway. Haven Johnson blasted her second triple of the night, scoring Calloway. Ember Johnson followed with an RBI triple of her own to add another run.
Pitcher Raeleigh Milton was dominant in the circle, throwing a one-hit shutout as the Lady Jacks cruised to a 14-0 victory to open the season.
