Robbie Ruth Trussell, born on October 15, 1931, in Bradley County, Arkansas, passed away on November 15, 2025, at the age of 94 in Palm Desert CA. She was the daughter of the late Hill Carruth Steadman and Raphael Temperance Grider Steadman.
Robbie was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Trussell; her parents; and her sisters, Eloise Mann and Shirley Carmical.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, John, and his wife, Debra; her grandchildren, Julie Kahn and husband Paul, and Brandon Trussell; and her great-grandchildren, Finley and Parker Kahn and Harper Trussell. She is also lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
Robbie married John on March 4, 1950. Shortly after their son, John, was born, the family moved to Dallas, Texas. A few years later, in 1965, they continued west and settled in Sunnyvale, California. Throughout her life, Robbie held several jobs she enjoyed, and one she fondly spoke of often was her time working for Shell Oil Company. In 2000, she moved to Palm Desert, a place she came to love and proudly call home.
Robbie was a woman of faith. Her Christian beliefs guided her life and shaped the loving, generous spirit for which she will always be remembered. Robbie had a curious, thoughtful mind and enjoyed following the stock market throughout her life. She also had a strong interest in homeopathic remedies and natural approaches to wellness, which she happily shared with friends and family.
Robbie’s kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will remain her enduring legacy. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Funeral service was 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial was in Pattsville Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
