County warming center open as slick road conditions develop across Bradley County

WARREN, Ark. — Bradley County officials confirmed Saturday afternoon that a warming center is open as winter weather continues to impact the area and road conditions worsen.

According to an update from the Bradley County Courthouse, the Bradley County Services Building, located at 302 Smith Road, is open to the public for anyone needing a warm place to stay. Coffee and water are available, and residents are encouraged to share the information with anyone who may need shelter from the cold.

The county noted that the building is open to anyone who wants to come in from the cold, particularly those without adequate heat during the winter weather event.

Meanwhile, the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office reported that highways and county roads across Bradley County are completely covered. Road conditions are described as slushy and slick in spots, with travel expected to become more hazardous as precipitation continues throughout the day.
