Grass, woodland fire reported off West Pine Street Friday afternoon

WARREN – 3-20-26 – Warren Fire Department crews responded to a grass and woodland fire Friday afternoon near 1510 West Pine Street.

According to initial reports, firefighters were toned out around 1:15 p.m. to a fire located in the woods behind a residence. Warren Fire Chief Chuck Moore was first on the scene and requested additional personnel from the Warren Fire Department shortly after arrival.

A few minutes later, crews from the Bradley County Rural Fire Department were also dispatched to assist in containing the blaze.

Smoke from the fire was visible billowing to the north and east, with sightlines extending to areas just west of Burnett Road (Bradley 916 Road) and south of Boyd Street (Bradley 915 Road). The fire was reported to be located southeast of Bradley County Lake, off Sylvan Hills Drive. No visible flames could be seen from the roadway.

As of 2 p.m., crews remained on the scene working to contain the fire.
