Hampton Seniors Recognized at Arkansas State Capitol for Leadership

HAMPTON – Hampton High School seniors were recognized at the Arkansas State Capitol during Capitol Day for their leadership and achievements, according to a post from the Hampton School District.

Seniors Crystal Johnson, Alaijah Stephens, and Taylor White were honored by state legislators for their leadership and drive. The recognition highlights their involvement in programs aimed at preparing students for success beyond high school.

Through participation in rootEd Alliance and Heartland Forward, and with the support of advisor Amanda Moore, the students took part in several activities during their visit. The group attended a special lunch at the Arkansas Chamber of Commerce, toured the State Capitol, met with senators and representatives, and visited the Treasury Vault, where they held $200,000.

The district also acknowledged local Representative Sonia Eubanks Barker for taking time to meet with the students during their visit.

In its statement, Hampton School District expressed pride in the students’ accomplishments and emphasized the importance of programs like rootEd Alliance and Heartland Forward, which focus on investing in rural students and supporting their futures after graduation.
