Woman Arrested on First-Degree Domestic Battery Charge After Incident in Johnsville Area

Press release from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department:

Deputies for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department were contacted by the Crossett Police Department on Saturday March 28th, 2026, around 9:35 pm in reference to a domestic battery case that happened in the Johnsville area and arrived at the Ashley County Medical Center for treatment in Crossett.

As a result of the joint investigation, Bradley County Deputies arrested Mrs. Tamara Lynn Sloan, age 55 of Hermitage for Domestic Battery 1st degree which is a class B Felony and was incarcerated in the Ashley County Jail. It is alleged that she cut her husband during an argument which caused a significant injury to his wrist that required him to be flown by medical helicopter to a Little Rock hospital for surgical repair of the injury. On Monday March 30th, 2026, Mrs. Sloan appeared before Judge Crews Puryear for her judicial first appearance and was given a $50,000.00 commercial bond. Mrs. Sloan has since posted bond.
