WARREN, Ark. – The Bradley County Economic Development Corporation (BCEDC) has been awarded $14,241 through the Arkansas Site Development Program to support development work on industrial property northeast of Warren, according to a press release issued April 28 by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.
The funding will go toward land preparation at the site, which was recently acquired by BCEDC and is now leased to the City of Warren. The project is part of an ongoing effort to make the property more competitive for future industrial development.
The Arkansas Site Development Program awarded a total of $25 million to 22 communities across the state in this round, with economic development organizations, cities, and counties eligible to apply.
In the press release, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders emphasized the importance of the program in strengthening Arkansas’ economic foundation.
“Every success story starts with a strong foundation, and the Arkansas Site Development Program helps communities build the groundwork essential to keep attracting businesses to our state,” Sanders said.
Funds from the program can be used for a range of site improvements, including grading, drainage, infrastructure extension, and environmental studies. In Bradley County, the focus will be on land work at the industrial site to improve its readiness for potential business recruitment.
State officials noted in the release that 29 applications totaling nearly $74 million were submitted for this round of funding, highlighting strong demand for site development support. Another round of funding is expected in fiscal year 2027.
The BCEDC has identified the northeast Warren property as a key site for future growth, with improvements aimed at positioning the area to better compete for industrial prospects and job creation opportunities.
