WARREN, Ark. — India Young of Warren has been selected as one of seven recipients of the Friday Forward Fellowship, a program designed to support Arkansas students interested in pursuing careers in the legal profession.
The fellowship was established by the law firm of Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP to help expand access to legal careers and support the development of future attorneys across Arkansas. The program focuses on students who may be underrepresented in the legal field or who have faced barriers to pursuing a legal education.
As part of the fellowship, recipients receive assistance with LSAT preparation through a Kaplan prep course, one-on-one mentorship from a Friday Firm attorney throughout law school, and an opportunity to interview for a clerkship position with the firm.
Applicants for the program must be current students or recent graduates of an Arkansas four-year college or university, demonstrate an interest in a legal career, and plan to take the LSAT during the upcoming summer or fall testing periods.
According to information provided by the firm, up to 10 fellows are selected each year through a competitive process involving Friday Firm attorneys and administrators and faculty from Arkansas law schools.
Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP is Arkansas’ largest full-service law firm, employing more than 90 attorneys and 100 support professionals. The firm serves clients across the state and nationally in a wide range of legal practice areas.
Young was one of seven students selected for the fellowship this year.
