James Charles Jackson Jr., 1956-2026

James Charles Jackson Jr., 70, of Pine Bluff, formerly of Warren, passed away July 10, 2026. Born May 23, 1956, to the late James Sr. and Ester Mae Jackson. 

James accepted Christ at an early age and became a faithful member of St. James AME Church, where he worshipped and served the Lord throughout his life. He attended the Warren School

District and graduated from Warren High School with the class of 1974. During his school years, James developed a love for sports and especially enjoyed playing basketball.

James was a hardworking man who was deeply committed to providing for and taking care of his family. He dedicated many years of service to Potlatch and worked as a skidder operator in the

timber industry. His strong work ethic, determination, and unwavering commitment to those he loved defined the man he was.

Known for his strong will and steadfast character, James loved his family unconditionally. He was protective, dependable, and always stood by those he loved. His presence, strength, and love

will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James & Ester Mae Jackson; five siblings; three nephews; and one great-nephew.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Moseley; children, Jermaine Jackson, Nikkia Jackson, Alysia Washington (James), Troven Moseley all of Pine Bluff, AR.; Lashunda Thomas of Warren, AR.; bonus 

daughter, Latoya Ellis of Chicago, Il.; sister, Kristine Alexander of Altadena, CA.; brother, Christopher Covington (Danielle) of Pine Bluff, AR.; two grandsons, Jayden Robinson, Kaleel Thomas; two

granddaughters, Destiny Spears, Krimson Hampton; two nieces, seven nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held July 18 at St. James AME Church in Warren with Rev. Kurbe Newsom officiating and Rev. Charles English Jr. eulogist. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Warren, AR.
