Bradley County Livestock Barn announces closure

Bradley County Livestock Barn has announced that it is closing, bringing an end to eight years of operation serving cattle producers and customers in Bradley County and the surrounding area.

The livestock barn announced the decision Tuesday in a statement posted to its Facebook page, citing changing economic conditions and personal circumstances.

“It is with heavy hearts and deep regret that I announce the closing of Bradley County Livestock Barn,” the Facebook announcement stated. “This decision was not made lightly due to the shifting economic changes and personal circumstances we’ve come to a crossroad for keeping our doors open. It is no longer sustainable for us.”

According to the announcement, Bradley County Livestock Barn began eight years ago with a goal of creating a place where neighbors, friends and cattle farmers could come together on Saturdays to buy and sell cattle.

The business also reflected on the relationships built during its years of operation, including watching customers’ families grow and sharing conversations and laughs across the counter.

“Our greatest regret is no longer being here to serve the community that has given us so much,” the statement said.

Bradley County Livestock Barn thanked its customers, neighbors and work team for their support and friendship over the years.
