MONTICELLO, ARK. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello Volleyball team continues GAC action this Saturday, October 31, as they take on the Golden Suns of Arkansas Tech University. Saturday’s matchup is set for a 4:00 p.m. serve inside Tucker Coliseum.
All-TIME SERIES
Arkansas Tech University – This will be the 47th meeting between the Weevils and the Golden Suns. Arkansas Tech holds a 8-38 record over UAM. The last meeting between the Weevils and the Golden Suns took place on September, 18 in Monticello and resulted in a 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-14) loss for UAM. The last win for the ladies in green and white was a 3-1 decision on November 6, 2023, in Monticello. At home, the Weevils trail 6-16, and away they trail 2-20, with an 8-35 overall conference record.
LAST MEETING
Arkansas Tech University – Arkansas Tech opened the match with an early advantage before UAM cut the deficit to 13-10. The Golden Suns responded with a 7-0 run and pulled away to take the opening set, 25-13.The second set was tightly contested early, with the teams tied at 9-9. Arkansas Tech eventually created separation, but the Weevils battled back to within two at 19-17 before ATU closed out the set, 25-19. Arkansas Tech controlled the early portion of the third set and built an 18-6 advantage. UAM responded with a late push, highlighted by service aces from Ella Cline and Isabella Garcia, before the Golden Suns took the set, 25-14.

The Weevils fell Tuesday night, October 27, to the Tigers of Ouachita Baptist University, 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-18).
