MONTICELLO, AR (July 15, 2022) – In the past six days, 25 employees from SeaArk gathered at the Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Home for an employee service project. Employees were split into four groups to complete 4 special projects.
Employee volunteers from SeaArk banded together to help the Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Home, a children’s home in Monticello. During the project, SeaArk employees served the home by building and assembling a Zen garden, taking down fences as well as a storage building, and painting and restoring their workout room and intake room. Water slides and ice cream were provided for the children to enjoy while the staff worked on their specific projects.
Each day during lunch employees were given a short devotional by a fellow employee and discussed how big of an impact this opportunity not only made on the kids, but the employees and their lives.
SeaArk President, Steve Henderson, stated “I am so honored to work for a company that not only allows but encourages philanthropy projects locally and internationally. It was great to be able to make life better for the kids at Vera Llyod and to see the joy in our teams faces. The most selfish thing that a person can do in this world is to help someone else because of the gratification that comes back to you. It was awesome to see this in action.”
