Jessie Mae Daniels, 84, of Warren, passed away, July 29, 2024. Born July 15, 1940, to the late Jesse and Evelyn Mitchell. She worked at Pine Lodge Nursing Home. She was a mighty prayer warrior, a talented seamstress, a devoted mother and grandmother.
Jessie Mae enjoyed attending church, praying, caring for her grandchildren and working on various sewing projects. Mother Daniels married the late Napoleon Daniels on February 10, 1959. Six children were born from this union, the late Jerry Lee Daniels, the late Dennis Daniels, Deborah Daniels Jackson, Bruce Daniels, Jimmy Ray Daniels, Napoleon Laron Daniels. Mother Daniels dedicated her life to Christ and held various positions in the church over the years. She was known as a profound ‘Prayer Warrior,’ leading prayer at Power House COGIC for many years. She also served as a Youth Sunday School teacher, president of the decorating committee, member of the Pastor’s Aide Committee, WCC president and Church Mother.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Daniels Jackson of Maumelle, Bruce Daniels (Theresa) of Springdale, Jimmy Ray Daniels (Learnet), Laron Daniels (Avon); daughter-in-law, A’Seneque Daniels all of Warren; stepdaughter, Marion Crawford (Robert) of Little Rock; siblings, Dorothy Mitchell of Maumelle, Evelyn Mitchell of Lonoke, Steven Mitchell (LaJoyce) of Warren; brothers-in-law, Billy Edwards (Janice) of Monticello, Roy Edwards (Betty) of Warren, Ray Charles Edwards (Sheila) of Hampton; an exceptional caregiver and niece, Michelle Mitchell Meadows of Warren; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held August 3, at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Warren with Bishop Robert G. Rudolph Jr. officiating. Burial was in Selma Cemetery, Selma, AR. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
