Arkansas Falls to No. 17 Oklahoma State in Close Contest

STILLWATER, OK – In a hard-fought matchup at Boone Pickens Stadium, the Arkansas Razorbacks came up short against No. 17 Oklahoma State, losing 39-31. Despite strong performances from key players, turnovers and missed opportunities ultimately cost the Razorbacks a victory.

Arkansas started fast, opening the scoring with two rushing touchdowns from Ja’Quinden Jackson in the first quarter. Jackson, who finished the game with 149 yards on the ground and three rushing touchdowns, continues to be a force for the Razorbacks’ offense, registering his second consecutive 100-yard game of the season.

The Razorbacks built a lead thanks to Jackson’s efforts, but the Cowboys mounted a comeback behind quarterback Alan Bowman, who found rhythm in the second half. Arkansas held Oklahoma State to just six points through three quarters but couldn’t sustain their defensive dominance down the stretch.

Quarterback Taylen Green had a career night, throwing for 416 yards and a touchdown, but turnovers—including a crucial pick-six—hampered Arkansas’ chances of sealing the victory. Wide receiver Andrew Armstrong was a standout, recording a career-high 10 catches for 164 yards, making him the first Razorback to reach 100 yards receiving against Oklahoma State since Bobby Duckworth in 1980.

Despite their offensive outburst, Arkansas was plagued by mistakes. “We made too many mistakes,” said head coach Sam Pittman. “Offensively, we put the ball on the ground and threw a pick-six…Oklahoma State came back and beat us.”

Arkansas will look to rebound from the loss as they move forward into conference play.
