Gwendolyn Marie Sinks Ederington, age 84, of Benton, AR formerly of Banks, AR went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Southern Trace Nursing Home in Bryant, AR. Gwen was born on July 18, 1940 in Warren, AR, a daughter of the late Douglas Sinks and Ivonette Sinks. She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Jim Doug Ederington.
Gwen was an employee at Warren Bank and Trust for 41 years; her grace and presence in the bank lead her to friendships that have lasted a lifetime. She was a longtime member of Hermitage Baptist Church and she attended Warren Public Schools.
Survivors include her husband, James W. Ederington of Benton, AR formerly of Banks, AR whom she married on October 13, 1956; two sons, Jim Ederington and spouse Pam of Hermitage, AR and Todd Ederington and spouse Karen of Bryant, AR; grandchildren, Kaley Price and spouse Cameron of Bryant, AR and Justin Jackson of Raleigh, NC; great-grandchild, Aiden Jackson; sisters, Sue Hale and spouse Dr. N. Patrick Hale of St. Augustine, FL and Joy Laney and spouse Gary of Searcy, AR; six nephews and two nieces along with a host of friends.
Gwen will be missed by all those who knew, respected, and adored her. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and mamaw who dedicated her life to serving the Lord and her loved ones.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Frazer’s Chapel. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at Frazer’s Funeral Home.
