Spring Fling Clay Shoot Opens Competitive Season With High Scores

WARREN, Ark. – The Warren Sports Shooting Complex launched its 2023 competitive shooting season in style, hosting the annual Spring Fling Clay Shoot. Shooters from across the region took aim in three exciting events—Standard Skeet, All Doubles Skeet, and 16-Yard Trap—and showcased top-notch marksmanship.

After a morning of tight competition, Jonathan Skaggs earned the tournament champion title with an impressive score of 72/75. The race for second place saw Michael Young and Kevin Majors tied at 70/75, setting up a dramatic head-to-head shoot-off. In a tense doubles challenge on stations 4, 5, and 6, Young prevailed, earning 2nd place and leaving Majors to claim a hard-fought 3rd place.
