Lady Jacks Open Season with Commanding 4-0 Victory Over Crossett

WARREN, Ark. – Under the bright lights of Jim Hurley Jr. Stadium, the Warren Lady Jacks kicked off their new season in style, defeating Crossett 4–0 in a non-conference showdown. Although both teams share the same league, they treated this meeting as a chance to sharpen skills early in the year, and Warren certainly seized the opportunity.

From the opening whistle, Warren set a high tempo and pressed Crossett back into its own half. Their efforts paid off in the 14th minute when Anna Arroyo found just enough space to slot home the first goal of the night. Soon after, in the 21st minute, Azul Garcia struck a low bullet into the bottom corner, doubling the Lady Jacks’ advantage. Garcia then capped off an impressive first half in the 34th minute by smashing the ball into the top corner for her second goal of the game, pushing Warren’s lead to 3–0 at halftime.

In the second half, Warren continued to dominate, playing an aggressive, high line that kept Crossett pinned inside its defensive third. Aria Hunt nearly added another to the score sheet in the 43rd minute, narrowly missing after a clever through ball from Garcia. Moments later, in the 50th minute, Garcia showed her exceptional range by launching a 20-yard blast over the Crossett keeper—securing her hat trick and sealing the 4–0 victory.

The Lady Jacks’ convincing performance moves them to 1–0 on the season, setting a strong tone for the year ahead.
