Winners Announced in 2025 Bradley County Art Contest Sponsored by Warren Woman’s Club

WARREN, Ark. – 3-24-25 – The Warren Branch Library recently hosted the 2025 Bradley County Art Contest, with entries on display through April 5 and an Open House held Saturday, March 29. The event was coordinated by Sandra Gatling and sponsored by the Warren Woman’s Club, with Jonalyn Reep serving as president and Glenda Cross as Art Chair.

Entries were judged on March 24 by Cheryl Moring, former art instructor at Warren Public Schools. Students competed in various categories, including pencil, color pencil, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, sculpture, and mixed media.

In Class I, Saniya Russell earned First Place for her pencil drawing of a cat. Brooklyn Savage, not pictured, also took multiple top honors in Class I with First Place awards for her watercolor/marker and acrylic paintings, and received “Best Felt Art” for her barn owl sculpture. Romina Rodriguez, also not pictured, received Honorable Mention for her 3-D sculpture of a bowl of apples.

Class II featured several standout winners:

  • Erandy Torres won First Place for her 3-D sculpture titled Green Onion and Third Place in pencil for a self-portrait.
  • Daniel Garcia received First Place for his pencil drawing of a fox and Second Place in pencil for a self-portrait.
  • Amy Dominguez earned multiple awards, including Second Place in color pencil for a piece on radial symmetry, First Place in charcoal (still life), Best 3-D for her corn sculpture, and two Honorable Mentions for pencil drawings of a self-portrait and a fox.
  • Genesis Quintanilla earned Second Place in mixed media with a collage of a magnolia.
  • Lacy Glover was also recognized for her pencil self-portrait.

The annual art contest highlights local student talent and provides young artists an opportunity to showcase their creativity to the public. The Warren Woman’s Club continues to promote the arts in the Bradley County community through events such as this.
