Warren, Ark. – 4-11-25 – The Warren Lady Jacks earned a dominant 12-2 victory over the Hamburg Lady Lions on Friday, April 11, in a six-inning conference matchup at home.

Hamburg opened the game with a single in the top of the first and took a 1-0 lead, but the Warren defense quickly shut down the early threat. The Lady Jacks responded in the bottom of the inning with Haven Johnson leading off with a bunt single. Ember Johnson reached base next, and Charlee Wardlaw brought in the tying run with a sacrifice fly. Bayleigh Miller followed with an RBI single, scoring Ember Johnson to give Warren a 2-1 advantage.
In the second, Warren’s defense held Hamburg to a quick 1-2-3 inning. With one out, Breize Fellows and Blythe Calloway each singled but were left stranded. The score remained 2-1 in favor of the Lady Jacks.
The top of the third saw Hamburg put a runner on base, but a 6-3 double play by Warren ended the inning. In the bottom half, Natalie Hargrave and Raeleigh Milton each singled with two outs, but the inning closed without a run.
Defense continued to shine in the fourth as Hamburg was again retired in order. Warren extended its lead in the bottom of the fourth. Blythe Calloway singled, Haven Johnson doubled, and Ember Johnson’s sacrifice brought in a run. Wardlaw added an RBI single, followed by another RBI single from Miller. Warren led 5-1 after four innings.
Hamburg scored once in the fifth, but Haven Johnson’s catch in center field was the defensive highlight of the game. In the bottom of the inning, Milton led off with a single and later scored. Fellows reached and scored on Calloway’s RBI single. Calloway then scored on a double by Haven Johnson. Ember Johnson drove in Haven with a single, and Miller followed with another RBI single to make it 9-2.
Hamburg was unable to respond in the sixth. Milton singled to open the bottom frame, and Presley Reep and Fellows added singles to load the bases. Calloway then doubled, scoring two runners. After Johnson walked, Ember Johnson delivered the walk-off single, securing the 12-2 win.
Calloway led Warren at the plate, going 4-for-4. Johnson, Miller, and Milton each went 3-for-4. Wardlaw and Ember Johnson both went 2-for-4, while Fellows went 1-for-2. Hargrave and Reep each finished 1-for-4.
The win lifts the Lady Jacks to 10-2 overall and 2-2 in conference play. Warren will travel to face Watson Chapel on Tuesday.
