L’Aigle Creek Conservation District to Host Public Meeting on Conservation Priorities April 22

HERMITAGE, Ark. – L’Aigle Creek Conservation District is inviting the public to a community discussion on conservation priorities in Bradley County on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Hermitage Community Center, located at 416 S. Hickory St. in Hermitage.

This annual Local Work Group meeting offers landowners, agricultural producers, and interested citizens an opportunity to provide input on local conservation needs, particularly concerning soil and water conservation. Attendees will be able to voice concerns and help shape local conservation priorities for the area.

Recommendations from the meeting will be forwarded to the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), which oversees the implementation of natural resource conservation programs under the federal Farm Bill. Other participating partners include the Arkansas Forestry Department, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, and the L’Aigle Creek Conservation District.

The district board encourages attendance, emphasizing that input from the community is vital to directing conservation efforts and resource allocation.
