2025 Warren Lumberjack Sports Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

WARREN, Ark. – The Warren Lumberjack Sports Hall of Fame will honor a new class of inductees on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in Lumberjack Arena, celebrating individuals and teams whose contributions have shaped the legacy of Warren High School athletics.

Among this year’s honorees is the late Coach Don Whittemore, who served for many years as the head junior high football coach. Coach Whittemore was widely loved and respected, known for building a strong foundation for future Lumberjack success and mentoring generations of young athletes with discipline and heart. His leadership at the junior high level laid the groundwork for many high school achievements to follow.

Also being inducted is Coach Robert Cuthbertson, whose tenure as Warren’s head baseball coach brought home numerous conference titles and, notably, the school’s only state championship in baseball history.

Kilay Cox, a former Warren Lumberjack football tailback, will also be inducted. Cox was a standout on the gridiron, known for his explosive athleticism and relentless effort. He was a key contributor to the 2014 Warren Lumberjack Football Team, which claimed the Class 4A State Championship that year. Fittingly, that entire championship squad will be inducted alongside him, recognizing the team’s collective achievement and legacy in Warren’s storied football history.

All members of the 2014 team are invited to attend the ceremony and are encouraged to wear their state championship rings as part of the recognition.

The public is welcome to attend and help honor these individuals and the 2014 team for their remarkable accomplishments and contributions to Lumberjack athletics.
