June Bierbaum passed away August 13, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 4:30 p.m., August 30, 2025, at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren, Arkansas.
June was born October 2, 1946, in Warren, Arkansas, the only child of Marseille Hornaday and Don Sutton Smith. After graduating from Warren High School in 1964, June attended Baylor University, graduating with a Bachelor of Music from the School of Music in 1968. June then did post graduate study at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
June returned to Warren, Arkansas, in 1970 and began teaching private piano lessons out of her home piano studio. She taught hundreds of students over her teaching career. She loved inspiring the love of music in others.
June also served as the pianist and organist at First Baptist Church of Warren for many years. Her attention to detail and desire for excellence contributed to an enriching worship experience.
June married Fred Bierbaum on June 21, 1973. They frequently served the church together through music with June at the piano and Fred at the organ. They remained faithful companions until his death in 2008.
Preceding June in death were her parents, Don Sutton Smith and Marseille Hornaday. She is survived by her children, Frederick Bierbaum of Fort Worth, Texas, and Anna Myers and her spouse David Myers of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren Myers, Molly Myers, Walt Bierbaum, Augie Bierbaum, Noah Myers, and Henry Bierbaum.
The family expresses their deepest appreciation for the special kindnesses given to June this past year by Broadway City view, Sunrise Senior Living, Encompass Rehab, Texas Health Harris Southwest Hospital, and Steve Blattau.
A memorial service and visitation will be held, 4:30PM Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Greg Stanley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baylor School of Music; One Bear Place #97050; Waco, TX 76798-7050, or to a charitable organization that holds personal significance.
