WARREN, Ark. – After more than four decades of service within the Bradley County Courthouse, Bradley County Clerk Karen Belin has announced she will not seek re-election at the end of her current term.
In a written statement, Belin said:
“After over 45 years serving within the Bradley County Courthouse, I have made the decision to not seek re-election. A lot has changed since I began. Most things done by hand then are now on computer. A couple of years ago I was able to have our marriage record books scanned, so they are now available on computer in our office. I appreciate the support of the public during my time in office and will continue serving to the best of my ability through the next year.”
Belin has been a dedicated public servant in Bradley County for more than 45 years, overseeing numerous changes in recordkeeping, technology, and local government processes. She noted that modernization efforts, such as digitizing marriage record books, have been among the notable advancements during her tenure.
She will continue serving as county clerk until the completion of her current term next year.
