WARREN, Ark. — Warren didn’t just separate from Malvern on Tuesday night — the Lady Jacks dismantled the Lady Leopards at home at Lumberjack Arena with a second-half surge that looked every bit like a team settling confidently into its identity.

Warren’s 59–26 victory wasn’t driven by a single hot hand or one overwhelming matchup advantage. It was the accumulation of little edges — tempo, rebounding, defensive discipline, and opportunistic shooting — that slowly widened into a gulf Malvern never came close to crossing.
After a competitive first half in which Warren led 24–17, the tone shifted abruptly. The Lady Jacks outscored Malvern 35–9 over the final two quarters, including an 18–6 third period that effectively decided the game. Warren punished Malvern on the offensive glass with 23 offensive rebounds, generating repeat possessions that wore down the visitors and broke open what had been a manageable margin.
Three players finished in double figures — Breize Fellows, Livi McKinney, and Caroline Harton — each with 11 points, but they arrived there in distinct ways.

McKinney established the early rhythm, scoring 5 points in the first quarter while anchoring a dominant night on the boards. She finished with 11 rebounds and gave Warren a steady presence around the rim on both ends.
Fellows provided the timely shooting. After Malvern tied the game 2–2, her early three-pointer pushed Warren ahead for good. She finished 3-of-5 from deep, her spacing allowing Warren to stretch the floor and play comfortably through its secondary actions.
Calbert’s second-quarter eruption — three straight three-pointers — was the game’s first real jolt. Her back-to-back makes extended the margin to 24–15 and shifted the energy decisively toward Warren heading into halftime.
And then came Harton.
With the game largely in hand, the senior delivered the night’s cleanest stat line, going 5-for-5 from the field, including a three-pointer, in a near-perfect fourth quarter that sealed the final margin.
Warren finished 24-of-69 from the field and 9-of-28 from three, but the volume was the point — not the percentages. The Lady Jacks generated nearly double the shot attempts Malvern did, aided by their rebounding advantage and just 7 turnovers. Their defensive effort was equally steady: Malvern managed only three points in the fourth quarter and never found an answer for Warren’s length on the perimeter.
If Warren’s opener hinted at upward momentum, Tuesday’s performance underscored it. Balanced scoring, increasingly firm defensive habits, and a relentless approach to second-chance opportunities have defined the Lady Jacks’ 2–0 start — and all three were on display in full force.
