Sonya Childs of Bradley County Medical Center’s Home Health Department has earned the organizations Employee of the Month award for the month of November.
Childs’ nomination said: “Sonya is a hard worker. She is dedicated to her patients and goes above and beyond to care for them. She’s always cheerful and helpful. I’ve had the pleasure of treating in Home Health more often in the last couple of weeks and during this time I was told by a patient about how wonderful his aide is. He told me she takes her time with him, makes sure he has everything he needs including his bathing, and even does a little bit of cleaning. He said she is very kind, and he was so appreciative of how she treats him and how well she does her job. During one of my visits with this patient Sonya arrived and asked how he was and began her work. She had a smile, she was kind, and she made my heart swell with how she did her job that day. I was blessed to see the interaction she had with that one patient, and I have no doubt she treats them all just as great. She deserves recognition for a job well done and for treating her patients like family. I’m so thankful we have her on our team at BCMC Home Health! Thank you Sonya!”
