NEW EDINBURG — A festive holiday tradition brought large crowds and memorable moments to New Edinburg over two recent evenings as the community hosted its Santa and Candy Land event, which organizers say may have been the best attended yet.
Families turned out in strong numbers to enjoy the colorful walk-through display, featuring bright Christmas lights, holiday characters and a Candy Land–inspired path that delighted children and adults alike. Young visitors could be seen carefully making their way across the painted boards, clutching stuffed toys and taking in the festive surroundings as parents followed close behind.
In addition to the strong turnout, the event also marked a special milestone for the community with its first-ever marriage proposal taking place during the celebration, adding an extra layer of excitement to the holiday atmosphere.
Organizers with Re-New-ing Edinburg expressed appreciation for the support shown by the community and shared photos from the event to commemorate the two successful evenings. The Santa and Candy Land celebration continues to grow each year, serving as a highlight of the Christmas season and a gathering point for families across the area.
