Former Warren Lumberjack Treylon Burks Re-Signs with Washington Commanders

WARREN, Ark. — Former Warren Lumberjack standout Treylon Burks will remain in the nation’s capital after reportedly agreeing to a new contract with the Washington Commanders.

According to NBC Sports, who cited original reporting by NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Commanders have re-signed Burks to a one-year contract worth up to $4 million, giving the former Warren High School star another opportunity to contribute in Washington’s offense.

Burks, a Warren native and graduate of Warren High School, was one of the most decorated football players in school history before continuing his career with the Arkansas Razorbacks football.

At Arkansas, Burks became one of the most dynamic offensive players in the SEC, finishing his Razorback career with 146 receptions for 2,399 yards and 18 touchdowns, while also contributing as a runner.

His standout college career led to the Tennessee Titans selecting him with the 18th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Burks later joined Washington during the 2025 season and saw action in several games, finishing the year with 10 receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown.

The new deal keeps the former Lumberjack in Washington as he works to expand his role in the Commanders’ offense heading into the 2026 NFL season.
