WARREN, Ark. (4-9-26) — A major step forward has been reached in bringing a Safe Haven Baby Box to Warren, according to a recent update from EAST at Warren High School.
In a post shared Thursday, organizers announced that the baby box has officially arrived in Warren, marking what they described as a significant milestone in the student-led Operation Baby Box project.
The initiative, which began as an idea developed by students, has grown into a community-supported effort aimed at providing a safe, anonymous option for parents in crisis to surrender infants. Organizers noted that the project has received strong backing from local sponsors, community members, and area leaders.
With the arrival of the baby box, the project now moves into its next phase. According to the update, efforts are underway to begin the construction process so the unit can be properly installed and made ready for use.
Organizers also expressed appreciation for those who contributed to the project, including sponsors, donors, and local partners who helped bring the effort to this point.
The Safe Haven Baby Box will be part of a broader system designed to provide a secure and legal alternative for infant surrender, with the goal of protecting the lives of newborns and supporting families in crisis situations.
