HERMITAGE, Ark. — Residents in Hermitage will have an opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items during a City Clean Up Day scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026.
According to information shared by Hermitage City Hall, the event will take place at the community center and will run throughout the day. Two 30-yard dumpsters will be available for residents to use as they clear out items from their homes.
City officials noted that while many common household items will be accepted, several materials will not be permitted in the dumpsters. Prohibited items include paint, batteries, electronics such as televisions and computers, compressors (including refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioning units), burning barrels, limbs and leaves, and tires.
The event is designed to help residents safely and responsibly dispose of unwanted items while improving the overall cleanliness of the community. Food trucks will also be on site during the event.
