Varnice Parker, 1945-2026

Varnice Parker, age 81, of Conway, AR went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 10, 2026 (Mother’s Day). She was born on March 5, 1945, in Warren, AR. She grew up in New Edinburg, AR, raised her family in Fordyce, AR and then moved to Conway, AR.

Varnice was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe McClellan and Myrtle Gray McClellan; two children, Terry Smith Jones and Gray Smith; brothers, Paul McClellan, Mack McClellan, Curtis McClellan, Raymond McClellan, Petie McClellan and Nolan McClellan; and sisters, Frances McClellan Bolin and Christina McClellan Williams.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Lee Parker of Conway, AR; sons, Junior Parker and wife Stephanie of Conway, AR, Tracy Parker of Jacksonville, AR, James Parker of Spring Hill, FL and Jeff Parker of Russellville, AR; daughters, Teressia Allen of El Dorado, AR, and Rhonda Howson of New Edinburg, AR; grandchildren, Casey Parker, Brandon Parker and wife Bekah, Megan Flowers Pilcher and husband Steven, Robyn Parker, Kelsey Long Lingo and husband Bobby, Nathan Long and wife Emily, Ashely Carpenter and husband Brandon, Danielle Howsen, Leah White, Dillon Parker, and Alexia Parker; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Brenda McClellan Triplett and husband Don of New Edinburg, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Blossom Nursing Center and the hospice team for the loving care provided to Varnice during her illness.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Reaves Cemetery in New Edinburg, AR with Rev. Ray Sanders officiating.
