WARREN, Ark. – The Warren School District has announced the addition of Greg Courtney as an assistant girls basketball coach, assistant soccer coach and Alternative Learning Environment (ALE) teacher for the upcoming school year.
Courtney, a native of Altheimer, brings both coaching experience and a commitment to education to his new roles. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of Central Arkansas and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching degree at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
According to information released by the district, Courtney has experience coaching girls basketball in the AAU ranks and is eager to begin his first coaching opportunity within a school setting.
In a statement shared by the district, Courtney said he looks forward to working with Warren students and athletes.
“I have experience in coaching girls basketball in the AAU setting, and I am excited for my first opportunity to coach in a school setting. Let’s get to work,” Courtney said.
In addition to assisting with the Lady Jacks basketball program, Courtney will serve as an assistant coach for the Warren soccer program and teach in the district’s ALE program.
School officials welcomed Courtney to the Warren School District team as preparations continue for the 2026-27 school year.
