Warren School District Shares Summer EBT Information for Local Families

WARREN, Ark. — The Warren School District is encouraging local families to check whether they qualify for Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer assistance, which provides additional grocery benefits while children are out of school.

Qualifying families can receive $120 per eligible school-aged child to help purchase groceries during the summer. According to information shared by the district, Summer EBT helped approximately 336,000 Arkansas children access nutritious food last year.

The program works alongside existing summer meal programs to help ensure children have access to food throughout the summer months.

Many children will be enrolled automatically. Students ages 5 through 17 who received SNAP, TEA, Medicaid Free or Medicaid Reduced benefits during the current school year may already qualify without submitting a separate application.

Families whose children are not automatically enrolled are encouraged to check their eligibility and apply if necessary.

Eligibility information is available at ar.gov/SummerEBT. Eligible families can submit an application through access.arkansas.gov by selecting “Apply for New Benefits” and signing into an existing Access Arkansas account or creating a new one.

Families may also call 1-800-482-8988 for more information.
