Charles Richard “Charlie” Funderburg, age 61, of Banks, Arkansas, died Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Chapel Woods Nursing Home in Warren, Arkansas.
He was born August 17, 1964, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, a son of the late Coy Funderburg and Nesia Lowman Funderburg.
Charlie worked in the construction field for many years. He loved his close network of friends and was a graduate of the Grapevine public schools. He enjoyed gardening, horses and the outdoors.
Charlie was blessed with many talents. He was a Christian, and one of the best parts of Charlie was his free spirit.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Funderburg.
Survivors include his brother, Hugh Funderburg and spouse Sherry of Banks, Arkansas; a sister, Vicki Lightsey and spouse Ronnie of Grapevine, Arkansas; his homeboys, Richie Ross of Texas, and Ronny Plunket and Eugene Davis, both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
