A memorial account has been established at Union Bank to help support the family of former Warren Lumberjack quarterback Drake Jones, who passed away following a car accident in Texas on Saturday, Aug. 22.
The account, “In Memory of #15 Drake Jones,” was created for those who would like to provide financial assistance to Jones’ fiancée, Autum, and his children as the family navigates the difficult days ahead.
Jones, who wore No. 15 during his time with the Warren Lumberjacks, was well known to many in the Warren community through his years as a student-athlete and quarterback for the Lumberjack football program.
According to information shared by the family, the account is intended to help ease some of the financial burden associated with everyday expenses while also providing support for Jones’ children and their future.
Those wishing to contribute may visit Union Bank and ask to make a donation to the account:
Account Name: In Memory of #15 Drake Jones
The family emphasized that there is no pressure to contribute and expressed appreciation for the many people who have already offered prayers, shared messages of support and asked how they could help.
“Every dollar, every prayer, every share, and every act of kindness is appreciated more than words can say,” the family stated.
Jones was remembered in the announcement as a beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, partner and father who deeply loved his family.
The memorial also carries the message, “Once #15, always #15.”
