Betty Carolyn Joyner, 73, of Mabelvale, AR., passed away August 25, 2026. Born July 3, 1953, to the late Willie King and Vernita & James Phillips.
Betty loved spending her time watching tv and calling her family.
She is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Joyner Jr.; her mother, Vernita Phillips; children, John McCoy (Ramona), Melissa King, James P. McCoy; sisters, Loretha King, Brenda Williams (James), Willie Jean King; stepbrothers, Willie Martin, Anthony Martin, Greg Martin, Temaus Martin; uncle, Bennie Preston (Brenda); aunts, Mary Helen Watson, Bobbie Ruth Wimberly; stepchildren, Michelle Rice, Nathaniel Joyner III (Denise), Byron Joyner, Felisha Smith; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held September 5 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Warren with Bishop Larry Hines officiating. Burial was in A T Cemetery, Jersey, AR. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
