Shelia Walton Marshall, 1959-2024

Shelia Walton Marshall, 65, of Warren, passed away April 18, 2024. Born April 10, 1959, to the late Henry Sr. and Marjorie Johnson Walton. She attended the Warren School District and was a member of the classof 1977.

Shelia accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined St. James AME Church under the leadership of Rev. G.T. Blackmon.

Shelia attended Pines Vocational School in Pine Bluff, AR., where she obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing degree. She was employed with the Bradley County Medical Center and Home Health Care for thirty plus years.

She was married to the late James Marshall and to this union no children were born.

She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and listening to music.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tangela Walton; three siblings, John, Henry Jr., Lovelle; maternal grandparents, John and Jennie Johnson; paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Phillis Walton.

Shelia leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children, Curtis Walton (Ulanda), Angela Walton both of Warren; siblings, Elaine Wright, Henry Lee Walton; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Curtis Jr., JaNasha, Tamia, Aaliyah, Taliyah, Krystal, Dakota, Elizabeth; four great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Bessie Walton; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was April 26 at St. James AME Church in Warren with Rev. Kurbe Newsom officiating and Rev. Johnny Johnson eulogist. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Warren. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
