WARREN, Ark. – Warren High School’s EAST program has successfully reached and exceeded its $20,000 fundraising goal for “Operation Baby Box,” a community-led effort to install a safe haven baby box at the local fire station.
Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, the final boost pushed the campaign past its goal. Students, community members, businesses, and local organizations all contributed to make this life-saving initiative a reality.
“Our hearts are full of gratitude for every single person, business, and organization who supported this life-saving project,” EAST wrote in a public announcement on Monday.
The baby box, once installed, will provide a secure and legal way for parents in crisis to safely surrender an infant, ensuring the child’s well-being and immediate medical care. Special thanks were extended to the Warren Mayor’s Office, which will now proceed with the legal and logistical steps to bring the box to the city.
The initiative not only highlights the dedication of local students but also the strength of the Warren community when rallying for a cause aimed at protecting the most vulnerable.
“This is what hope in action looks like,” the EAST team added. “Stay tuned—big things are coming!”
